Ocean's Eleven [VHS]

Compare this to the movie with the Rat Pack in 1960 and it pales by comparison. Let's see we had Angie Dickinson there and Julia Roberts here. No contest. We had Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Joey Bishop, Sammy Davis, Jr., Cesar Romero etc as opposed to the mopes in the latest. No contest.

Ocean's Eleven [VHS]

Not a cinematic masterpiece by any means, but a very good movie. Excellent cast. Just an extremely fun, fast-paced and watchable flick.

Ocean's Eleven [VHS]

Was a good movie. The Creme de la Creme. Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon etc. It was a very good movie, very good entertainment.

Ocean's Eleven [VHS]

I'm not really sure why, but there's just something about this movie that I really like. It's just an extremely entertaining, well-done film. Some of it may be just a little too unrealistic, but hey, it's a movie right? It's not really deep or thought-provoking in the slightest, but who cares; as someone on here already said, it was made to entertain and that's exactly what it does.

Ocean's Eleven [VHS]

I couldn't stand watching this one, my girlfriend and I turned it off after a half hour. I didn't find it clever at all. If I want to watch a film about crooks, I'll watch Goodfellas, Casino, Usual Suspects, Reservior Dogs, etc. This one falls flat on it's face.

Ocean's Eleven [VHS]

Yeah, the storyline is overdone, and there was nothing new about it, but it was done fairly well and it was pretty fun to watch, much to my surprise. I thought it would be one of those movies that would be just an excuse to throw togther as many top-name actors in one flick as they could, but I admit I didn't give it enough credit. Nothing spectacular, but fun to watch nonetheless.

Not a bad movie but what the hell was Bernie Mac doing in there. If not for him I would have given it 5*

Ocean's Eleven [VHS]

I don't think that they should of re-made this movie. It's a classic and should have stayed that way. I hate when classic movies are re-made it shows a total lack of creativity. Plus, they changed the ending so now it's not as good. This movie is ok but nothing to get in a big fuss about.

Ocean's Eleven [VHS]

A so-so movie with a good cast. We were bored for the most part. We kept waiting for something exciting to happen. It just didn't. George Clooney plays Ocean the man behind the casino heists. It is like most of the movie they were collecting to team of theives to do the heist and then well, it was just boring! As I have said before I am glad I only rented this instead of paying big bucks to see it in the theater.

Ocean's Eleven [VHS]

I don’t feel strongly one way or the other about this film except that – regardless of the obvious eye candy offerings of George Clooney and Brad Pit (and for Julia fans yeah, she’s there too – though barely) it still nearly put me into a coma by the time the end rolled around. It just does NOT have the pizzazz the trailers would have you believe. First of all, the big deal robbery plot has the musty smell of something that has been done to death over many decades (almost continuously since "The Great Train Robbery") and was put away and then taken back out one more time. The trouble is when they decided to resurrect this old Rat Pack vehicle with new faces, names and time period they were unsuccessful in getting rid of the smell of mothballs yet didn’t even come close to the almost tongue in cheek - we’re just doing this for fun - feel of the original. It was even a little bit sad to see this crew attempting to revive that same feeling of martini swilling, lounge lizard king early 60’s cool. These guys may know how to do many things but when it comes to the above they just don’t have what it takes. And, why they picked Julia Roberts, one of the most expensive names in Hollywood (other than to have the ability to put her name in the credits) is beyond me. They certainly didn’t utilize her for very much - a walk on that could have been done easily by someone with a much smaller price tag. At best “Oceans Eleven” was like some off brand soda with an okay taste but low carbonation – something you’ll settle for – but only if you can’t get your hands on a Coke.

Ocean's Eleven [VHS]

I love caper movies, I absolutely do. And I love the "new" Soderburgh. I saw "Out Of Sight" in a sneak preview and fell in love with it on the spot. "Traffic", "Erin Brockovich"... of course "Ocean's Eleven" was one of the most anticipated movies in my book. And yes, it is slick. And yes, it is brimming with stars. And yes, it is clever and stylish. But I also felt it lacked soul. It was quite frankly... well, not cold, but a little on the chilly side. Not much chemistry between Roberts and Clooney, BTW. Sadly.

Ocean's Eleven [VHS]

Excellent movie capturing the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas. I would have to agree with the person who said that Julia Roberts was a poor choice for the part of Tess, however. She just didn't seem to fit with George Clooney and Brad Pitt. She was elegant, enough, yes, but they needed someone with a little more spunk. The movie is very entertaining, though, overall, and there are admiration-worthy performances by all of the actors. A little bit slow in the beginning, perhaps, but by the middle it picks up and by the end you're hooked.

Ocean's Eleven [VHS]

Unfortunately, I saw this after Fellowship of the Rings. With all the jingles and lights and flashy actors, I thought it would be more fun. On another night, it might have. But it is so pale in the shadow of the deep-rooted and broad-branched Lord of the Rings picture.

Ocean's Eleven [VHS]

Didn't quite have the impact of "Fellowship of the Ring" but I don't know of any other movie that does. "Ocean's Eleven" is still an enjoyable film. Now tell me; who decided that Julia Roberts is really attractive? She had some decent moments acting in this movie, but if I was casting it, I would not chose Julia for the pretty gal being fought over. In the beginning of the film I think Brad Pitt forgot to even act, but he did better as time went on. The characters are unique and amusing. Matt Damon and George Clooney were good. The plot is full of twists and turns and the movie's full of adventure. Playing "Clair de Lune" in the background at the end was a nice touch; I don't know why they chose that song, but it worked somehow. This was quite an entertaining movie and I'd say it's definitely worth seeing.

Ocean's Eleven [VHS]

The best pop corn flick to come out in ears. Made to entertain and that is exactly what it does. But this is up town hard core entertainment, the kind Hollywood should be pumping out these days. A ton of star power, an academy Award Winning Director and a great heist story. How could any film maker go wrong? This is a sure thing and it was from the get go. It is a classic caper with a modern hip feel. This is one to see. Great entertainment, I would say, for the whole family. If your family is cool. I mean, no one gets killed or anything. It isn't Not Another Teen Movie by any means. So take the kids or grandpa and treat yourselves to a great fun classic bad guys are the good guys flick. Much to love. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I really enjoyed this movie. There were so many famous people and I think that made it more interesting. It is a really funny movie and definitely worth going to see.

A light, but fun piece of fluff with an all-star cast.
